Accountants One is working with a Real Estate company in the Atlanta area that is looking for a  Senior Property Accountant . This person will be supporting the Accounting Manager and interact with the Controller. The Senior Property Accountant will help mentor and develop the Property Accountants. The company continues to grow, promoting and adding to the team.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with Property Managers regularly making sure to help with research tenant leases, prepare reconciliation of tenant payment history, and reports, assist with invoice coding
• Maintain the tenant leases in the accounting systems
• Complete monthly GL close and assist with management report
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly detailed work papers
• Prepare OPEX revenue for annual budgets
• Prepare OPEX to true-up calculations and annual billings
• Review of property A/P and submission of the weekly check run
• Any special projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting required
• 5+ years of property or staff accounting experience
• Real estate industry experience required
• Must be able to read and interpret lease verbiage
• Advanced Excel
• ERP System experience such as Yardi or MRI
• Hybrid work schedule
