Job Description

Unique opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to practice in Interventional Radiology in Western Minnesota with award winning hospital.

• The NP or PA will join the fellowship trained Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Radiologist.
• Join a great team and help develop this new role in the practice.
• Provider experience is required, open to training NP/PA with prior surgical/procedure, pain management, urgent care, or orthopedic experience.

Under the direction and supervision of the Radiologist, the position details include:

• Perform fluoroscopic examinations
• Perform minor procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, thyroid fine needle aspiration, arthrography, CT and US-guided biopsies, etc.
• Perform pre- and post-procedural follow-up patient evaluation, draft notes in the medical record
• Call results of imaging examinations, if needed
• Administer contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by the radiologist
• Administer general medications as prescribed by the radiologist in conformance with organizational policy

EDUCATION & LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

• License to practice medicine & DEA in Minnesota upon start
  
  
• Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  
  
• Successful completion of PANCE board examination for Physician Assistant candidates or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
  
  
• BLS required
