Job Summary: Join our team as a key player in evaluating and approving merchant cash advance applications. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to assess financial risk. You will leverage market insights and client data to make informed decisions, ensuring the growth and success of our cash advance operations. Responsibilities include origination, underwriting, system management, and follow-up to ensure client satisfaction and portfolio performance. Key Responsibilities: - Market Analysis: Analyze industry trends and data to develop and refine cash advance underwriting strategies, ensuring competitive positioning and profitability.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants and business clients, providing exceptional service and support throughout the underwriting process.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough financial analysis and risk assessment of potential clients, utilizing advanced metrics and models to determine eligibility and terms.
- Data Management: Accurately manage client and transaction data using software like MCA Track, Onyx IQ, ConvergeHub, and Chetu to ensure precise record-keeping and reporting.
- Transaction Oversight: Oversee all aspects of transaction processing, including documentation, contracts, and billing, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Prospecting and Business Development: Identify and target potential clients through market research, canvassing, and networking, actively contributing to the growth of the business.
- Credit Analysis: Perform in-depth credit analysis to assess the creditworthiness of applicants, utilizing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all underwriting activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies, keeping abreast of any changes in regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: As you grow within the role, hire, train, and lead a team of underwriters, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve underwriting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
Requirements - Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of underwriting in Merchant Cash Advance
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Software Proficiency: Experience using MCA Track, Salesforce, HubSpot, and other relevant financial software.
- Passion: Demonstrated interest and passion for the financial services industry.
- Licenses: Relevant financial certifications or licenses are a plus.
