We are actively recruiting a Corporate Partnerships Officer to join our team. The Corporate Partnerships Officer develops, implements, and manages the museum’s fundraising efforts and relationships with corporate philanthropic sources. The incumbent works across the Development department and the museum to secure and activate sponsorships for exhibitions and museum initiatives, oversees and builds the corporate membership program, and builds and implements the corporate sponsorships pipeline.

The Corporate Partnerships Officer establishes and maintains positive relationships and regularly engages with corporate philanthropic officials, staff, vendors, visitors, volunteers, members, and colleagues in a personable and respectful manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for and manages portfolio of corporate supporters and serves as the primary contact and relationship manager.
  • Researches and cultivates new prospects, creates plans for corporate support, and oversees fulfillment and partnership enhancement activities across the museum.
  • Assists with strategy on larger sponsorship opportunities.
  • Proactively works with others in identifying programs and initiatives for which effective corporate fundraising packages and materials can be created.
  • Works with appropriate museum personnel to develop compelling, strategic, and customized proposals, sponsorship packages and related financial materials.
  • Leads corporate sponsorship activation and benefit fulfillment, including coordinating and managing events, sponsor employee engagement opportunities, private tours, and ticketing to ensure mutually beneficial sponsorship integration and engagement.
  • Develops and applies stewardship practices to encourage continued support of the museum.
  • Works proactively with marketing and communications to create and maximize promotional activities benefiting sponsors.
  • Acts as an advocate for corporate sponsors in ensuring all appropriate recognition in advertising, posters, print and electronic media, publications, etc.
  • Provides support on other Development department projects and major events, as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of increasing related experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of marketing and promotional principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and ethics.
  • Knowledge and understanding of nonprofit environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully organize workload in a fast-paced environment; maintain several projects of equal priority simultaneously; sustain focus, productivity, and accuracy under pressure.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to speak and write persuasively, clearly, and concisely, and to blend information from multiple sources into an effective fundraising document.
  • Ability to always display good judgment and exercise tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional flexibility with a strong customer-service focus.
  • Ability to interact effectively with board, volunteers, donors, and staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality within the museum setting and in regard to information obtained in respect to prospects and donors.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and members of the public.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and offsite as needed.

Compensation

The Asian Art Museum is committed to practicing salary transparency. The hourly range for this position is $33.6252 - $40.3847 /hr. This FLSA exempt opportunity includes a generous benefits package, including but not limited to:
